What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice rooted in understanding the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Its name comes from Sanskrit: Yuj Samādhi, referring to concentration, and Yuj, meaning union or to yoke.
I feel incredibly privileged to have trained with Soul Sanctuary in Worcester, guided by the most inspiring teachers - a transformative journey that deepened my passion for understanding the human experience through a psychology-rooted approach. This training reshaped not only how I practice yoga, but also why I share it. Yoga is far more than asana (poses); it is a return to yourself, a coming home, and a reconnection to your inner world.
Yoga philosophy, particularly the Eight Limbs, provides a beautiful framework for living. They remind us that yoga isn’t just something we do - it mirrors who we are, both on and off the mat.

“Tiarna is such a wonderful yoga teacher! Her classes are always fun and uplifting, and she creates a welcoming space where everyone feels safe and supported. Her instructions are clear and easy to follow, which makes each pose feel accessible no matter your experience level. I always leave her sessions feeling calm, encouraged, and more connected to myself. You can really tell she teaches from the heart – I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Soul Evolve was my first yoga experience. Tiarna’s calming and grounding session was a wonderful introduction. She excelled at making what we were doing on the mat feel like way more than mere exercise. While I was originally sceptical about the more spiritual elements of yoga, Tiarna made the whole experience feel accessible and empowering.”
